Have you ever seen Disney’s Moana the movie? Well Hulu is our own modern-day versionhere at DAN. Having just completed her Masters in Communications Studies at AUT, Hulu designed an app to teach Tongans living locally the cultural significance of the food they eat. Impressively, she also won a scholarship for topping her year in Digital Media.

Seeing education as the key to building a better future, you could say Hulu is always learning. She’s also always creating as she goes about her day — taking notes‘ illustration style’ and perfecting her calligraphy skills, drawing inspiration from design blogs and Pinterest. If she’s not “starring” in movies, you may see her modelling on the runway for a Pasifika fashion show.
